The new remake/prequel is coming out in august. I swear to god I'll be so pissed if they fuck this one up. :P
All I can say is I don't like the kid they casted for Michael Myers at age 10. So far it looks like the perspective is around Michael Myers, and not a woman-lead character.

They cant remake this! :o
I can understand remaking crap, out-of-date, tacky horrors.
But Halloween is still a good film in todays standards.

dont be worried cause rob zombie is directing
and he is a great horror film director
cause the best horror movies out there are 1000 corpses, and devils rejects...
well atleast in my opinion

I'm not expecting this to be great. Rob Zombie is a good director (in his own sort of way) but I don't imagine him doing justice to Halloween, it doesn't seem like his sort of film. I hope I'm surprised, but I suspect I won't be. Hopefully it will be better than the remake of The Fog though. :P

Some horror remakes are good. Like Dawn of the Dead... :D

Yeah. The original was timeless and H20 was good in a creepy nostalgic kind of way, although a bit timid. Resurrection was an abomination. I don't have high hopes for the next one. I'm not an optimist after Resurrection.

Not Busta Rhymes, just the film. I couldn't quite come to terms with the fact that Michael Myer's parents chained him up. He didn't look maladjusted in the first one when he killed his sister, apart from the fact that he killed his sister. His parents basically had no idea what he was like. A continuity thing for me. No offence.

AHH! I'm so tired of these remakes of all these movies!! Especially disney movies, I mean come on. Movies that are good, should be left how they are. The only good one i can think of is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory( I liked the 1st better) But I think the 2nd was more like the book so it's kind of a whole different movie.

Im a die hard fan of Halloween. H20 Was The Best one. Ressurection. I wish i had never seen it! You cant kill his sister (sorry forgot her name its been a while) Although the endings the only good part it shows that there will be another soon. I hope there isnt. THe remake directed by Rob Zombie is not expected to be better than H20 but better than #3 or ressurection! I hope jamie lee curtis is in it. O wait she cant be this is when hes like 11?

Her characters name was Laurie Strode (or Keri Tate, her fake name). I probably find it easier watching H20. I love the part where she admits to Adam Arkin who she really is, it always give me goose bumps (i get like that with nostalgic movie moments)

the only thing that i am not fond of is the fact that Rob zombie is the director/ writter or which ever one he iz. i just hope it isnt to gory because michael myers was never super gory it has always been his technque in which he stalked his prey & the way he exectued the kill.

Apparently there were some kick-ass scenes cut out of Halloween H20 that explained the continuity between Halloween 4-6. A student in Laurie's class has a speech on the Haddonfield murders and talks about Jamie Lloyd (Laurie's daughter in 4-6) being stalked and eventually murdered by Michael. It explains Laurie faking her death because Jamie's parents were killed in an auto accident. In the scene, apparently Laurie leaves the class to the restroom to throw up

Are you patronising me? I just thought it would be cool for some continuity between all the films, and add to the nostalgia.:D

I for one. Love it when people such as Laurie who admit they have been stalked by the main killer it makes me feel like i dont know i guess goose bumps would be a good explanation. Such as in harry potter and the order of the phoenix. He finally says im the one who killed all these people! Ill be sure to see this movie!

I can't say I felt the same during Harry Potter but I do get goosebumps when Laurie admitted in H20 about who she really was. I get goosebumps when Vader throws the emperor in the pit in Return of the Jedi as well:)
