Uh, Moulin Rouge, is pretty depressing. So were The Hours and The Butterfly Effect (the director's cut). The Green Mile was pretty sad too.

By far the saddest movie I've seen is Schindler's List.

The Butterfly Effect was just so sad in such a terrible way. I mean, they burned the kids dog!!!
A Walk To Remember made me cry, if anyone's seen it?

Donnie Darko, because we all remember the ending and that MAD WORLD song...
American Beauty is a sad one, but also full of black humor so yeah...
The Virgin Suicides, of course, because they all kill themselves...
Honestly, A.I.: Artificial Intelligence made me pretty depressed
Edward Scissorhands had a pretty sad end to it :(
I know there are more, but I can't remember them all...

By far the saddest movie I've seen is Schindler's List. That's true, I don't think anything can really compare to that. The ending is probably the most powerful ending to any movie...ever.
Donnie Darko, because we all remember the ending and that MAD WORLD song.... Another good call.
I'm seeing a common theme here that self sacrifice is very sad, even though we recognize the positive outcomes of the sacrifice.

Flicka.
Both made me bawl my eyes out, seriously.
I went to see Flicka at the movies with 2 mates and we were thinking oh this will be gay..
Conclusion? We walked out eyeliner smudged as fuck.

out of all the movies i can think of ive seen, the movie MONSTER, the movie with Charlize Theron and Christina Ricci was so so sad. I loved it. It was a true story of murder and love, which made it even more sad.
also, Requiem for a Dream was good, and sad, but i felt most emotional at the end of Monster.
