what is the legal age to have sex? what happens if someone finds out you are under age? does the same age apply for b/j or fingering?

in my state, sex with anyone 12 and younger is statuatory, even if the partner was 13, when you are under 18 and older than 12 your partner can't be more than 4 years older than you, and as soon as your 18 you can screw anyone.

You can always go to certain Asian countries if you want underage sex, however they can prosecute you once you return home ...

There are a lot of higher exceptions, and a few lower.

One amusing exception of note is New Mexico, where you can have gay sex four years earlier than heterosexual sex (13 vs. 17).

the law is stupid these days thats why i ignore it. who would be dumb enough to go to the cops and say my friend is having underage sex. what i mean is that its your personal choice if you want to have sex or not. no matter what age but make sure your a teen before doing it. by law when your 18 in highschool its illegal to have sex with a 17 year old girl but nobody gives a cares about it though cuz they know its stupid or they don't know about it.

For heterosexual, it's 16, which is normal. According to the ACLU, sodomy is still against the law in the state.

While technically illegal, no one is going to prosecute anyone for underage sex unless there is a significant age difference. Suddenly turning 16 does not make you any more emotionally ready for sex than you were the day prior. I am not endorsing breaking the law, but I'm saying that the laws exist to avoid situations where one party is clearly coercing the other party into a sexual relationship. It's not meant to stop 16-year-olds from having sex with 15-year-old boyfriends.

And, for what it's worth, if both participants are under the age of consent, neither breaks the law (to my knowledge).

Here's how I view it, providing that you're not forcing your partner to have sex and you guys both enjoy it, none of you are going to complain with anybody. Honestly, how many teens ask about consent ages before having sex? Just don't rush it and only have it when ready.

Dolphus Raymond, I completely agree with you... He's right, you know... No one will prosecute you for doing it with a person almost at the age of consent. The law is meant to protect people and not prosecute innocents. I'd look into the age of consent laws regarding your specific area, because it differs from place to place. Here in Canada, it's 14 accross all provinces, and there aren't any restrictions on homosexuals. In a place like Texas or something, it's like 16 or 17 with gay sex being completely illegal! If you live in California, the age of consent is 18., and if in Madagascar, 21.

All in all these age barriers are pretty pointless. In my opinion, the "age of consent" is when the younger is ready. (S)he'll know when (s)he is ready for a relationship, and you'll be able to tell too by observing their maturity.

Besides... there is a saying. "If a tree falls in the middle of the forest, and no one hears it, has it fallen?". Keep it quiet and out of the way and you'll be fine. :P

I heard that you could have sex with anyone, as long as one partner wasnt over 18 and one was under. I dont think you can arrest too teens for having sex. It may be morally illegal most places though.

Mexico, I'm not sure of. Japan is 13 and I know that as a fact.

BJ/fingering is a sexual act, but most jurisdictions that view things like homosexuality and underage sex as sins (those that have rather high AoC's) will treat BJ/fingering less severly than things like anal.
