Alright I'm here to ask a question for a friend.
She has a hickie that she wants to get rid of a hickie that's pretty small, I can't find directions anywhere on the internet so I decided to post here. Any advice?

Gently rub ice on it. The cold temperature helps the skin pigmentation to return to its normal color. Skin cream can help cover it too...
Basically you have to let it heal and go away. Try to cover it if you can...
A website had this to say...
APPLY ICE
Put something cold on the hickey, a compress or ice, to keep it from spreading. My ex-boyfriend once gave me a hickey on my nose. It lasted a whole week. My mom was sooooo mad! But, I gave him back a hickey on the chin, which is actually a great sucking place. Hickeys on the neck are cheesy. If I'm going to tag someone, I'm going to leave my mark. I think the stomach would be kind of hot.
Step Two
ADD MOIST HEAT
If the hickey still has swelling around it after a couple days, well, first of all, that's awesome. You've given a serious hickey, and I want to shake your hard. But, you should apply moist heat, which sweeps away the blood vessels faster. My girl friend once tried to comb her hickey. I've actually tried putting a penny on the hickey, but it didn't work.
Step Three:
ADD CONCEALER
Apply concealer to the hickey. Use a powder over the concealer, but make sure that you blend, because if you don't, you're just going to draw more attention to the hickey.
Step Four
ACCESSORIZE
If all else fails, you should embrace the hickey. Accessorize the hickey. Accept it, and go around proud to say, "This is my hickey." But, I guess you could use a turtleneck or a scarf to cover it up if you don't want anyone to see it.
Hope this helps...

Why would you even get one to get rid of it?

For some reason which I can't completely understand, parents go ballistic when their daughters get hickeys. I mean, one time I gave a girl a couple of hickeys on her neck (she ASKED me to for crying out loud.) Her mom saw it and World War III started.
Foundation or other makeup helps cover it up but mothers know all the tricks.
Wearing a turtleneck or high collar shirt works too, obviously.
I told her the next time she wanted one I would give one to her someplace her mom would not see.
What's ironic is that I had done all kinds of ummm.... stuff with this girl before (which obviously her mother did not know about) but I got busted for a hickey. Go figure.

Makeup doesn't really work on very dark ones (in my experience) I just wear collared shirts and stuff to hide it if possible. Depends on the location on the neck that it is. My mum was paranoid about it.:P

my friend is a major slut, and wut she always does is put a spoon in the freezer. take it out when its reaaaaaaaaaaaalllly cold, and rub the bottom part of the spoon part on the hicky, just press on it, the cold and the pressing helps it go away.

Welcome to the board.. Remember.. just because she may get hickies doesn't make her a 'slut'. ;) Some girls just like making out.
In any case, you are right, that method works also (since it is cold).

You can make out without getting hickeys, they don't just appear.

These hickies (such a stupid idea anyway - what's it prove??? ???) are the drawing of blood by suction from the small veins and capillaries and bringing it to just below the surface of the skin. In that way they are similar to bruises so what works for bruises can work for them.
The post above is a method of getting the blood to circulate through the area. The ice and cold is useful. A finger massage is also good as it circulates the blood.
And again - what do they prove - a stupid idea.

Hickeys are basically surface bruises. When my friend got one, she said she burned herself with a curling iron(worked on her mum). Unless someone is and expert, they probably could tell the difference if your excuse is plausible enough.

Look at it at least three times a day for approx. five days. And surprise, it's gone!
It's a bruise. You can't generally get rid of bruises any other way but waiting and makeup. I never understood why someone would want or let someone give them a hickey, but whatever.

Be careful with the make up though because it's already dark and adding more foundation to it will possibly make it darker.
I actually got pinched/scratched once on my neck and it bruised and looked like a hickey :P

When you say that you're asking a question for a friend, what you actually mean is that you're the dude that gave her the hickie and she's freaking out and you want her to stop freaking out? heh;)
