okay i downloaded it not too long ago and when i tried to open up the internet it said that it couldnt connect. i uninstalled it. any reason for that?

The only reason that would happen, is that it could not secure a connection with the server it tried to connect to. It could also happen that your internet crashed. This happens to me sometimes when my wifi is turning up a weak signal. Otherwise it could be that you were working offline. Also you might have made it that way by sekecting it as not your default browser.

the server comes out of a network based on my father computer which may be the case. i tried IE and it worked so the internet didnt crash. wifi had a strong signal and i made it my default browser. but i cant see why the server would be the issue IF its the issue.

no the internet acces comes from the family computer. i must have mis-typed something.

That still doesnt make any sense. Your saying your family pc is a ISP which I highly doubt. I think your saying that the internet in the house has been routed to its specific point by a router such as your wi-fi?
If that is the problem I can't understand why your internet didn't work. Unless you were working offline. If that was the case a small dialog box should have came up.

Whenever that happens to me I just reset my router.

thanks but i think it is the damn firewall that keeps me from doing anything.

Open up your firewall and allow it :P.
